We, GRETCHEN and JOSHUA , are an adventurous
caretaking duo based out of the magical San Juan Islands in Washington State.
Inspired to head to the South Pacific (AU, NZ, FIJI, etc) for a warmer winter. We are interested in responsibly caretaking
your home while we are there or are happy to house and/or pet sit for you. Highly enjoy meeting like minded individuals and
positive-thinkers in our travels.
Currently, we are VERY open to ideas and possibiliites in traveling to the South Pacific. We are flexible in our travel arrangements
as no plans are in place.
GRETCHEN: For the past 4 years, I have
managed a successful business in the "homeowner helper" field. Including painting, gardening, house/pet sitting, carpentry,
landscape maintanence, boat work, general home maintance. I am easy going, open to ideas and I learn quick. I was a manager
within a environmental non-profit for 3 years in Minneapolis, MN. In 1998, I received a BA-Business (marketing) from the U
of Minnesota.
My next step in life is to meet many individuals around the globe while learning about the art world and what it takes to
become a successful Artist Representative.
I have been teaching a small class of students beginning yoga with much passion. Recently, I have started teaching the theories
of positive thinking methods.
I am a positive thinker, hard worker, good listener and motivated by ideas that involve community, cooperation and simple
living methods. I would really enjoy the opportunity to learn about alternative living (i.e. Solar, Wind, Off-Grid)
JOSHUA: I have a long career in filmmaking,
recently completing a DVD project that features several of my short films: Spore, 13 Ounces of Moonshine & more (2004). I
recently led a film crew through Southern Costa Rica and helped produce a Costa Rica Travel DVD (2002).
I have excelled in landscaping the last 10 years, and have worked on large projects in the San Juan Islands. I am a handyman
with several skills: painting, wiring, path building, stone/rock work, animal care, groundskeeping and more....
I am considerate, positive-minded and an excellent project
coordinator.
